Blog Babble is the Makers go-to place for all the resources and information you’ll need to create and develop a successful blog you’re both proud of and passionate about.
Hello, I’m Jamey and over 3 years ago I was in the same position as you – starting out on my blogging journey. Since then I’ve been able to quit my day job and turn blogging into my full-time gig.
A Little About Me
I run the popular Dabbles & Babbles blog where I share all my creative adventures including printables, patterns, design resources, DIY tutorials, kids crafts and more. Over time, I’ve managed to gain a following of over 150,000 users and 300,000 pageviews per month. I’ve also become somewhat of a Pinterest maven, gaining around 150 new followers per day at this point. Six months ago I created another blog, currently in the process of being sold, that was making considerable profit within one month of its conception.
Prior to becoming a blogger, as well as having a day job as a graphic designer, I owned and operated a successful handmade jewelry business as well as a couple of Etsy shops that sold a variety of handmade items. As you can see, being a Maker is close to my heart.
What’s a Maker?
Although you may not have heard the term Maker before, chances are, you’re already one. Makers include artists, writers, designers, craftsmen, filmmakers, musicians, photographers, bakers, the go-getters, the how-to-ers and the do-it-yourself-ers. The Maker Movement is an evolution of millions of people who are taking risks to start their own small businesses dedicated to creating and selling self-made products.
Lately, I’ve come to realize that in addition to sharing my Maker knowledge, I should also be sharing my knowledge of blogging. Not only is blogging an amazing creative outlet, it’s also a great source of personal satisfaction. Blogging is your opportunity to become a better writer, to make new relationships, to build community, to gain confidence and to inspire others.
I Once Felt Like You
Full of passion and great ideas but overwhelmed and not sure how to start. Perhaps you’ve started a blog already but haven’t been able to get any traction. I know you’re frustrated but you don’t have to struggle to figure it all out yourself. My goal is to provide you with resources so that you can make the blog of your dreams.
Please Mind the Mess
I’m just getting this blog up and running and it’s going to take a little while to get rolling. I’ve also been busy creating a great new course for newbie bloggers so please bear with me while I’m in creation mode.
In the meantime, please sign up to Blog Babble and receive instant access to my resource library which has FREE worksheets, checklists, stock photos, planners and printables to help you get started on your blogging journey.
